8.1.5.2. Update the geoposition of the building you are working with
In order to update the geoposition of the building you are working with, the building must have at least one address linked to it. If the building you work with does not have an address linked to it, you can link one or more addresses to the building. For more information on how to link an address to the building you are working with, see section 8.1.4.1.
When you update the geoposition of a building, it is the address shown on the building card that will be updated. If the building you are working with only has one address linked to it, you will not be able to choose a address for the update. This is because you will only have access to one address. If the building you work with has more than one address linked to it, you will, however, be able to choose an address to update the building's geoposition.
To update the geoposition of the building you are working with:
Go to the building card (see image below).
Select the address from which you wish to update the building's geoposition. This is if the address you wish to update the building's geoposition from is not the address shown in the building card. Note that this only applies if the building you are working with has more than one address linked to it. If the building you are working with only has one address linked to it, you can skip this instruction step and go straight to instruction step 3. To select an address:
Click the field called "Address type" (see the first image below). Clicking the the field called "Address type" will open a list of addresses linked to the building you are working with (see the second image below).
Select an address by clicking an address in the list of addresses (see the first image below). Note that the selected address will be marked with a check mark (see the second image below).
Click "OK" in the list of addresses (see the first image below). Clicking "OK" in the list of addresses will take you back to the building card. In the building card you will find the address you selected in the previous step (see the second image below).
Click the button called "Update geoposition from address" (see image below). When you click the button called "Update geoposition from address", the geoposition of the building you are working with will be updated. Note that the geoposition is updated from the address shown in the building card. Updating the geoposition of the building you are working with, will reposition the building's map marker. At the same time as the geoposition is updated, so is the information in the fields called "Latitude" and "Longitude".
