If you wish to edit a view, you can of course do so. When editing a view, you can:
add columns to the view
remove columns from the view
change the order of the columns set for the view.
If you are a system administrator you can edit all views created by users in your organisation. If you are a standard user you can only edit views that you have created. In other words, in order to edit views created by other users, you must be a system administrator. Note that there are views that no one in your organisation can edit regardless of user status. These views are called standard views and have been created by us at Pythagoras. The standard views are marked with padlocks. Neither you nor your colleagues can make changes to the standard views.
Please note that the view you wish to edit must be shown in the list you are working with, so it is therefore important that you ensure that the view is showing in the list. If you have access to more than one view, you can select which view to show in a list. For more information on how to select which view to show in a list, see section 8.14.1.
When you edit a view you can:
make permanent changes to the view
make temporary changes to the view.
If you make temporary changes to a view, the changes you make will only apply until you chose to show a different view in the list you are working with or, chose to work within a different tab in the building card.
For more information on how to make permanent changes to a view, see "Make permanent changes to a view". For more information on how to make temporary changes to a view, see "Make temporary changes to a view".
