Changes that affect the rent or price set for a lease must be registered via lease adjustments, not by adjusting the base rent or base price.
To add a lease adjustment to a lease:
Open a lease. For more information on how to do so, see section 4.6. or 6.1.
Go to the lease card (see image below).
Click the tab called "Areas & costs" (see image below). Within the tab called "Areas & costs" you will, among other things, find a button called "New adjustment". Note that you will have to scroll the lease card to find the button called "New adjustment".
Click "New adjustment" (see the first image below). When you do so, a lease adjustment will be added to the lease you are working with (see the second image below). Use the lease adjustment's fields to add information to it.
