If you want to delete a view from a list, you can of course do so. If you are an organisation administrator, you can delete views created by other users in your organisation. If you are a regular user, you can only delete views that you have created yourself. In other words, in order to remove views created by other users, you must be an organisation administrator. Note that there are views that no one in your organisation can remove regardless of user status. These views are called standard views and have been created by us at Pythagoras. The standard views are marked with padlocks. Neither you nor your colleagues can remove the standard views.
There are two ways to remove a view from a list. To remove a view from a list you can:
use the views list
use the view card linked to the view you wish to remove.
For more information on how to remove a view using the views list, see the title "Remove a view using the views list" below. For more information on how to remove a view using the view card, see the title "Remove a view using the view card" below.
Remove a view using the views list
To remove a view using the views list:
Go to a list, for example the supplement objects list within the tab called "Supplement objects", the workspaces list within the tab called "Workspaces", the workspaces list within the tab called "Cleaning", the leases list within the tab called "Leases" or the errands list within the tab called "Errands". In the list you go to, you will find a view button in the form of a Settings icon (see image below).
Click the tab within which the view you wish to edit, is available. This is if the list you are working with contains two or more tabs. If the list you are working with does not contain any tabs, you can skip this instruction step and go directly to instruction step 3.
Make sure the view you wish to edit is shown in the list you are working with. Why? Because you can only make changes to the view that is shown in the list you are working with. If you have access to more than one view, you can select which view to showy in the list you are working with. For more information on how to select which view to show in a list, see section 8.14.1.
Click the Settings icon (see the first image below). When you click the Settings icon, a list of views will open (see the second image below).
Go to the list of views. In the list of views, you can see which view is currently being shown in the list you are working with. The view shown in the list you are working with is marked with a checkmark. Next to the view's list item, you will find three icons. The icons are called "Edit", "Delete" and "Export" (see image below). Note that some views might be locked. If a view is locked it will be marked with a padlock in the views list. If a view is locked, you can not remove it from the list you are working with.
Click the icon called "Delete" (see the first image below). Clicking the icon called "Delete" will open a dialog (see the second image below).
Click "Delete" in the dialog (see image below). When you click "Delete" in the dialog, the view you are working with will be removed from the list you are working with.
