When working in Pythagoras Web, you can create print views. A print view is a view with a predefined page size, scale, paper orientation and drawing stamp.
In order to create a print view, you must activate the print command. For more information on how to activate the print command, see "Activate the print command" in section 5.3.2.11.
Note that the print views you create are building specific. In other words, if you create a print view, the print view will only apply to the building you are working with when creating it.
To create a print view:
Go to the graphical search field (see the first image below). In the graphical search field you will find a printout menu. The printout menu consists of two parts: "Print View" and "Additional print settings". The settings you can predefine in the print view you are about to create are page size, scale, paper orientation and drawing stamp, that is, the settings you find under "Print View" in the printout menu (see the second image below).
Set a page size for the print view you are creating. To set a page size for the print view you are creating:
Click the field "Page size" (see the first image below). Clicking the field "Page size" will open a list of page sizes (see the second image below).
Go to the list of page sizes.
Click the page size you wish to set for the print view you are creating (see the first image below). Note that the page size you click will be set for the print view you are creating (see the second image below).
Set a paper orientation for the print view you are creating. To set a paper orientation for the print view you are creating:
Click the field "Orientation" (see the first image below). Clicking the field "Orientation" will open a list a list of paper orientations (see the second image below).
Go to the list of paper orientations.
Click the paper orientation you wish to set for the print view you are creating (see the first image below). Note that the paper orientation you click will be set for the print view you are creating (see the second image below).
Set a scale for the print view you are creating. Note that this is only if you want the prints you are creating, using the print view, to be in scale. If you do not want the prints you are creating, using the print view, to be in scale you can skip this instruction step and go directly to instruction step 5. To set a scale for the print you are creating:
Click the field "Scale" (see the first image below). Clicking the field "Scale" will open a list of scales (see the second image below).
Go to the list of scales.
Click the scale you wish to set for the print view you are creating (see the first image below). Clicking a scale will give you access to a frame. Note that the frame will appear in the drawing window (see the second image below). Also note that you might have to zoom out of the drawing window for the frame to be visible.
Move the frame so that the model ends up in a good position in the frame. In the middle of the frame you will find two arrows and a yellow box. Using the red arrow, you can move the frame on the x-axis (that is, to the right or left). Using the green arrow, you can move the frame on the y-axis (that is, up or down). Using the yellow box, you can move the frame on the x and y-axis at the same time (that is, to the right and left and up and down at the same time). Note that it is only the part of the model that is placed within the inner borders of the frame that will be shown on the printouts you create using the print view you are creating (see image below). If you want to show the whole model in the printouts you create, using the print view you are creating, make sure the entire model is placed within the inner borders of the frame.
Set a drawing stamp for the print view you are creating. To set a drawing stamp for the print view you are creating:
Click the field "Drawing stamp" (see the first image below). Clicking the field "Drawing stamp" will open a list of drawing stamps that are available in Pythagoras Web (see the second image below). Note that the frame you see next to the model in the images below only will be visible if you set a scale for the print view you are creating. If you did not set a scale on the print view you are creating, you will not see a frame next to the model.
Go to the list of drawing stamps.
Click on the drawing stamp you wish to set for the print view you are creating (see the first image below). Note that the drawing stamp you click on will be set for the print view you are creating (see the second image below).
Set a name for the print view you are creating. This is done by entering a name in the field "Name" (see image below).
Click the button called "Save current print view" (see the first image below). Clicking the button called "Save current print view" will create a print view with your selected name, page size, paper orientation, scale and drawing stamp. When a print view has been created, a dialog will open showing the following message: "The print view has been saved" (see the second image below).
Click "OK" in the dialog (see the first image below). Clicking "OK" in the dialog will make the print view you created available in the list of print views. To access the list of print views, click the field "Print View" (see the second and third image below). Note that the field "Print View" is placed at the top of the printout menu.
